Lapras ex Drop Event Live Now on Pokemon TCG Pocket!

Within just minutes of me writing this post, a Lapras ex Drop event was announced on the Pokemon TCG Pocket app. I'm actually fast on the news for once :P Maybe because I was actually on the app when I saw the event pop up lol.

Drop events are events where the player can engage in Solo battles to get promo cards. By engaging and winning these Solo battles, you'll be able to obtain Promo Pack A series Vol. 1 cards! These cards will be chosen randomly when obtaining promo packs during the event:

  • Featured: Lapras ex
  • Mankey
  • Pikachu
  • Clefairy
  • Butterfree

In order to participate in this event, the player will need Event Stamina. Similar to Wonder Hourglasses, Event Hourglasses can be used to speed up the Event Stamina in order to engage in the Solo battles for this event.

Beginner:

First-Time Rewards:

  • 2 Pack Hourglasses
  • 50 Shinedust
  • 1 Shop Ticket

Chance Rewards:

  • 1 Promo Pack
  • 25 Shinedust
  • 1 Shop Ticket

This event runs until November 18th, 2024 at 12:59 am ET

The Pokemon Center website has been updated, showcasing a new item release: Lapras Pearlescent Pop! Vinyl Figure by Funko This item was released in collaboration by Funko and is priced at $14.99. It showcases a Lapras figure with a pearlescent effect. Pretty eye popping! (See what I did there? :P)

Pokemon TCG Pocket Future Plans Announced + Pokemon Center Update

Recently, the Pokemon TCG Pocket app account announced its future update plans within a post on Twitter. This brief statement gets us ready for upcoming content within the coming months. While it didn't go into specific details, we can infer that November, December, and January will be jam-packed with events and packs. The app has been receiving regular updates every couple of weeks to highlight various features, whether it is the wonder pick, solo battling against AI, or solo battles against other players. So we can assume these features will be the focus for future events, in addition to the upcoming trading feature.
