pokevew.com Has Launched!

This is an exciting period for PokeVew! I've always dreamed for this day ever since I started blogging - imagining that I would one day run my own Pokemon website. Since middle school, I've been posting Pokemon news to share with folks all around the world. I held on to the belief that one day I'd own my very own domain and expand my Pokemon site to reach a wider demographic and get more eyes on this website.

Well... Today, I am happy to announce the launch of pokevew.com

PokeVew started as a blog on blogger where I published Pokemon news on a (semi) regular basis. Unfortunately, life called and I had to step away from blogging at certain times, but my love for publishing Pokemon news and working on some cool projects around Pokemon never ceased! I am happy that I am finally able to reserve a domain for this website and continue contributing.

What can you expect from this site? Regular updates around upcoming Pokemon news, some fun projects, and continuous expansion where you can find some helpful information regarding Pokemon games, the anime, and possibly even TCG!

I hope you can join me on this adventure!

Uri Geller Tweets out Apology Regarding Kadabra Ban

Uri Geller, an illusionist, released a statement earlier today in regards to the Kadabra ban. Geller got into a dispute with Nintendo surrounding Kadabra 20 years ago. Due to such, Kadabra pretty much disappeared from the TCG, and appearances were either limited or avoided within the anime itself. Geller believed that Kadabra was based on him, especially his spoon-bending tricks, and was not notified by the creators themselves. This prompted him to take legal action in 2000 where he requested Pokemon to stop using Kadabra within the TCG. After 20 years, Geller tweeted out a statement mentioning he was releasing the ban and apologized for his actions. You can check out his tweet below.

Kadabra is now free!

Upcoming Pokemon 25th Anniversary Celebration

Recently, The Pokemon Company International released a statement during the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in regards to its upcoming 25th anniversary. Little information is known at this time; however, the media statement they released on their website can be found below. Once further details are revealed, we'll be sure to bring them to you.

"The Pokémon Company International teased its upcoming 25th anniversary celebration for the Pokémon brand during the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®. A troupe of Pikachu danced to the original and iconic Pokémon theme song in New York’s Herald Square. The electrifying performance ended with Pokémon Trainers unfurling a massive banner revealing the official logo for the celebration. This year also marked the 20th consecutive year in which a giant Pikachu balloon floated among Manhattan skyscrapers and delighted fans during the Parade. The Pokémon Company International invites fans around the world to stay tuned for more information about the very special upcoming celebration of Pokémon’s 25th anniversary in 2021."

Return of PokeVew!

Hello fellow Pokemon trainers and fans!

I started PokeVew a year or so ago, transitioning my old blog to a new format with a better name. I got into blogging at a young age where I was very excited to share new and upcoming Pokemon news and information with fans. Whenever Pokemon news would drop or new info regarding games, the anime, and products would drop, I was on the case. While blogging as a whole hasn't been as popular as it was... a decade ago, I am very much dedicated towards continuing my interests with this and seeing this blog grow (and possibly into a website!).

Moving forward, you can expect a whole lot more from this blog. Ranging from Pokemon news being posted, cool projects detailing information from games, and possibly articles diving deeper into intriguing aspects of the Pokemon world.

If you'd like, be sure to follow the blog so you are notified when a post is made.

Look forward to seeing you around!
