Pokemon Scarlet & Pokemon Violet Announced - Generation 9 Games!

 On today's Pokemon Direct, the next-line Pokemon games were announced, titled: Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. These games mark the introduction of generation 9, providing an open-world experience. 

From the official Pokemon website:

"The Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games, the newest chapters in the Pokémon series, are coming to Nintendo Switch later this year. With these new titles, the Pokémon series takes a new evolutionary step, allowing you to explore freely in a richly expressed open world."

"Various towns blend seamlessly into the wilderness with no borders. You’ll be able to see the Pokémon of this region in the skies, in the seas, in the forests, on the streets—all over! You’ll be able to experience the true joy of the Pokémon series—battling against wild Pokémon in order to catch them—now in an open-world game that players of any age can enjoy.​"

With the introduction of a new generation and region, also marks the reveal of the three new starters the player will be able to choose from:


You can also check out the designs of the new male and female protagonist character designs, with their outfits slightly differing based on the type of game.

New Pokemon Center Release: Lapras Funko Pop!

The Pokemon Center website has been updated, showcasing a new item release: Lapras Pearlescent Pop! Vinyl Figure by Funko This item was released in collaboration by Funko and is priced at $14.99. It showcases a Lapras figure with a pearlescent effect. Pretty eye popping! (See what I did there? :P)

Pokemon TCG Pocket Future Plans Announced + Pokemon Center Update

Recently, the Pokemon TCG Pocket app account announced its future update plans within a post on Twitter. This brief statement gets us ready for upcoming content within the coming months. While it didn't go into specific details, we can infer that November, December, and January will be jam-packed with events and packs. The app has been receiving regular updates every couple of weeks to highlight various features, whether it is the wonder pick, solo battling against AI, or solo battles against other players. So we can assume these features will be the focus for future events, in addition to the upcoming trading feature.
