Pokemon Legends: Arceus & Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remakes Announced

This post will be updated throughout the day with additional details as they come in

From the 'Pokemon Presents' showcase, Pokemon Legends: Arceus and the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes were officially announced.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus brings a new experience to the players. It is based on the Sinnoh region within the past, taking what appears to be a feudal timeline approach. Players choose from Cyndaquil, Oshawott, and Rowlett as one of their starters, where they will be able to travel across the region in a more open-world style Pokemon game, similar to Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Arceus will be the main focus of the game.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Pokemon Shining Pearl are the official titles for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes. The art style of the game pays homage to the originals, where players will be able to travel across the region, (re)visiting their favorite Sinnoh routes and towns as their character appears more alongside the lines of a chibi-style. Wild Pokemon encounters are not within the overworld like a lot of the recent Pokemon games, but will be hidden within grasses, like the originals.
